Page SEO is real, really straight forward. Now that being said, it’s very important as well because even though on-

page SEO isn’t enough to get you to hit the first page; it can make the journey quite a bit faster, and that’s why it’s important to do it.

Let’s just delve into the exact process that I use  to optimize content at ,

including a real life case study.

So tactic number one is to include your keyword in your title tag preferably front loaded. You want to make sure your keyword is in your title tag and preferably towards the front.

As you can see, the keyword ‘e commerce SEO’ is towards the beginning of the title tag.

And that’s because it ’s more SEO friendly.

I could’ve easily written a title or a headline that had it at the end but I knew it was more SEO friendly to put it towards the front. It also made sense. So I included it.
Now sometimes I don’t put it right in the beginning because it just doesn’t make sense.

So whenever it makes sense, try to put your keyword at the beginning of your title tag.

Tactic number two is to make sure you include your keyword in your first one hundred words.

The reason for that is because Google wants to know that your article is about a certain topic.

You gave them a huge clue with your title tag and now they’re going to go down the page and they’re going to look at your article and see if it’s really about that topic.

And one of the simplest ways to r eally emphasise that your article is about a certain keyword is to put your keyword in the first one hundred words.

Let’s look at the e-commerce example. As you can see, I’ve put it right in the
beginning. The first sentence.

That’s just where it made the most sense for this particular article. But as long as it appears in  the first hundred words, you’re good to go.

Next you want to include your keyword n the first image in the article’s alt,
text. Let me explain what that means.In addition to the text,

you want to make sure alt text of your images tells Google ‘hey, this is really about this topic.’

Because in addition to reading the article in terms of the text,

Google also looks at the alt text of images to get  an idea about what your article is about. So you want to make sure your first image has an alt text that includes your keyword.
Let’s look at an example from the ecommerce SEO post.

Now you can see this is actually the first image in the blog post.

It’s at the very top. You can see that the alt text is ‘ecommerce SEO case study.’ So it includes my keyword but I don’t like to use a  Hundred percent keyword stuff.

I don’t want to just make it ‘ecommerce SEO’.

I put some text usually before or after it just so it doesn’t look like keyword stuffing.

It looks nice and  Next tactic is to include guide wordpress SEO your keyword in at least on H2 s

Heading and the reason for that is because Google puts more weight on text that appears in H1 and H2 tags. So you have a whole page full of text,

Google puts a little more emphasis on keywords or alt text or any text that appears in these tags as oppo
sed to just regular body text.

You want to make sure that your  keyword appears in at least one H2 sub –
heading. Let’s look at an example.

This is super easy to setup. You just basically include your keyword once in a sub -heading.

In WordPress you can just c hoose heading 2, it makes it an H2. bolder and you’re good to go.

Next you want to make sure your keyword appears at least three times in the article.
Now this isn’t keyword density or keyword d stuffing or that old -school stuff, this is about keyword frequency which still actually matters.

Because if you have an article that’s about glutenYou can see how I include it here in a very logical way in the body of the article and it also appears three other times –

once in the H2 tag which you can see right below there and a couple of other times,

in the article. Just to  make it  Google,

ext you want to make sure your keyword appears in the last one hundred and fifty words of your ar ticle. And this is for the same reason that you put your keyword in the first hundred words.

Your first hundred words and like an introduction to the topic, your last hundred and fifty are your summary.

So when you include it in there, it basically nudges  Google and says ‘look, this  content is about this topic.’
So for example for my ecommerce SEO post,

I make sure to put the keyword ‘ecommerce SEO’ at the end. Now in this case, at the end I’m pitching a content upgrade to sign up for the email newsletter but if you just have a general summary,

it’s the same idea. Just make sure the keyword is towards the end of your article once.
LSI keywords to your content.

LSI just stands for ‘Latent Semantic Indexing.’
It sou nds complicated. It sounds like you need a PhD to understand it but it’s actually a really fancy way of saying ‘synonyms and closely related terms’. Basically, when you have LSI keywords in your content, it has better relevancy in the eyes of  Google.

For example on the ecommerce SEO guide, this is what I do for every piece of content. I put the keyword into Google and I scroll to the bottom and where it says ‘searches related to …’

it’ll say whatever keyword you put it –
you grab the keywords that make sense and you put them in your article.

Now sometimes you can put the entire keyword like ‘ecommerce SEO guide’

but it’s a little bit unnatural for me to put that in my article so I didn’t put it.

I just put the word ‘guide’. So you can do things like  that. Whatever makes sense in your article, put it in, whatever doesn’t make sense, don’t put it in.
It’s going to give you a slight but significant bump.
Next you want to make sure your content is at least fifteen hundred words because multiple studies have looked at this and they found that longer content equals higher Google rankings.

Fifteen hundred words seems to be  the cut- off point where you start getting that benefit.

I  made sure to include as many details as I possibly could to bump up that word count whilst still providing value. And it obviously worked.

no worries. You can include pictures of people, of recipes, of fitness,

people working out. Whatever your industry is, there are images that you can include in your content and I recommend including at least five images in every post.

The next thing you want to do is optimise your title and description for clicks.

I have an entire lesson on how to do this using an advanced strategy in SEO That Works but I recomme
nd just kind of using this as an overview if you  don’t want to go into the full strategy.

this is using the  Yoast SEO plugin. Now it’s optimized for SEO but you’ll see in my title I added after the keyword –
it says ‘eCommerce SEO Case Study’ colon ‘How to  Get More Traffic.’ Now I know someone searching for ecommerce SEO  wants to get more traffic so when they see that they think ‘oh cool. This is for  me.’
Thedescription is the same story.
